Help For Vintage Aircooled Autos
Aircooled Restoration Specialists

I Buy Aircooled Cars And Parts ...

... both to restore and (heaven forbid) for parts. Volkswagen© or Porsche© are both good - I'm no badge snob. Heck, anything car related is fine - let me know what you've got! Air cooled, water cooled, old or new.

If you have a whole vehicle or just some miscellaneous parts then send me a picture with a description, location and anything else pertinent like condition, roadworthyness, etc. If you don't have any photos that is ok too. Please describe the vehicle as best as you can and we can go from there.

Parts lots (big and small) are also of interest. If your long lost Uncle Fred-Ted kicked and left you 37 acres of aircooled parts, well - you lucky dog. If you are looking to part with such a heart-felt gift as that, let me know.

I get lots of email, definitely a lot more cars than I could ever get to personally but please be patient and I will get back to you. If I can't make the time for another restoration then I may be able to help in finding your wayward auto a home. It all depends on the vehicle and what people are looking for at the time. No guarantees ...

I also have a few parts around the place - well ok, a *lot* of parts. If you have a specific need then let me know. I am always up for trades also. Let me know what you've got and just maybe I have something you can't live without too.

Goods And Services

For family and close friends I do media blasting, plating (look alike CAD and CAD II), powder coating, welding and miscellaneous wrenching. Many of the parts I resell are reconditioned but the individual ads will reflect that. The capacity to do this type of work on a large scale is just not there so thanks for all of the inquiries but I just don't have the time...

If this ever changes in the future, I will let you know. For now I just don't have the time.

About Us ...

... more literally, me. I bought a 912 in great condition - sight unseen (don't try this at home). It had spent over 22 years in dry storage and I was the second owner. It turned out to be a bit of a time capsule since nothing inside had really been touched while it was packed away.

After owning it for a while I bought another 912 for parts that turned out to be the same stock color and factory optioned as mine. The parts car had even been produced within a few days of my driver but had lived a much harder life. After seeing the difference that a little care can make I decided to start the Rescue and see if I could help provide some tips on keeping other airheads on the road.
